Programme Operations Assistant, Habitat for Humanity International
Sophia Nthuku serves as Program Operations Assistant at Habitat for Humanity International – Africa and participates in the youth working group that steers the organisation’s efforts towards youth engagement within the housing sector. She is passionate about the nexus between international development and climate resilience in the Global South. Her passion for the future of the African continent is demonstrated through her intentionality to contribute to youth-led initiatives that emerge to meet some of society’s most complex challenges such as unemployment and poor governance. In this light, she volunteers in programme design and implementation with Unlock Young Leaders Summit, an organisation that seeks to inspire, empower and mentor young people to be value-driven leaders for national transformation and community empowerment. She graduated from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
