Max headed Philam Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Philamlife Insurance an affiliate of AIA Group in Hong Kong. He now leads his own CSR/ESG consultancy. He has a degree in business administration and a Master’s in Development Management. He was a Jesuit Volunteer in the early 90’s organising farmers. He established the Kaakbay Philam Volunteer Corps in the early 2000s at Philamlife and has been an active advocate for volunteerism in the corporate sector. He chairs the Philippines Coalition on Volunteerism which strives to mainstream volunteerism for nation-building.
