Mr. Mahao Charles Matete is a Human Resources Associate in the Youth Division under the African Union Commission’s Women, Gender, and Youth Directorate. At the AU Youth Division, he manages and leads the African Union Youth Volunteer Corps (AU-YVC), a continental development program that promotes volunteerism to enhance youth leadership, empowerment, and participation. Prior to AU, Charles served as a Co-Facilitator at Related Education before joining the SADC Secretariat as a Human Resources Intern within the Remuneration and Staff Benefits Unit. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Human Resources Management from Vaal University of Technology.
