Juana is a dedicated young volunteer working with Oxfam in Peru. She is actively involved in a compelling activism platform focused on addressing social inequalities. This platform was started by Oxfam’s volunteers in 2018 and is still led and coordinated by young volunteers from various local organisations, and Oxfam-Quebec. Juana helps to establish the Actua-Pe activism platform, a sustainable volunteer structure, which is still jointly managed by a group of young volunteers from local Peruvian organisations. This aligns with the principle of decolonisation in volunteering, particularly in countries like Peru, where the political and economic landscape often faces instability.
